At night there are a lot of locals in the main street. The restaurants
serves food from their local, or international menus. There are many shops,
and a lot of street vendors selling art and handy crafts. This is Pipa,
this is the place in Brazil where daily life suits us Europeans the most.
Pipa is a fantastic place, witch has been compared with St. Tropez in
France during the 60s, and that says it all.
Pipa has since the 80s been a very popular
place for Brazilian tourists. During the last 25 years Pipa has developed
from a simple fishing Village, to a modern tourist village.
In Pipa you will find
a lot of small, family run pousadas (hotel), good restaurants and
bars, and unique shopping centres integrated in the village. In
Pipa you will not find any large hotels, the authorities only allows
low constructions. A lot of beaches have been preserved, all the
sand dunes are preserved, and over Dolphin's bay, there is a big
natural park, O santuario ecolÓgico.
On the beaches the turtles lay their eggs, and in the sea the large
quantity of dolphins roam. The habitants of Pipa, the visitors and
the local authority are concerned about conserving a fragile nature
, and the charming village. The beaches in Pipa are known all over
Brazil, and here you can wander for miles without meeting anyone.
